Scholarship Winners

2018- Breanna Hulton

Breanna attended the University of the Sciences and was accepted into the Biomedical Sciences Program. 

 

2019- Dominic Ellis

A resident of Brookhaven, Dominic served as Class Secretary for the class of 2019, Treasurer for the Spanish Honor Society, and Captain of the football team. He volunteered as a peer mentor for the Aston Township Athletic Association. He worked for Bellace Construction & Ellis Housing. He is attending Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster to study HVAC & plumbing.

 

2020- Zachary Paulson

Zachary was an Honor Roll Student. He was part of the Big Brother Mentoring Program and participated in the Osha Safety Program receiving Osha Employability Certification. He also received 3rd place at SkillsUSA ITN Competition. He was awarded the Alumni Scholarship to attend Delaware Technical Community College for networking and digital forensics.

 

2021- Rob Powell

Rob was an Honor Roll student who was 3-year starter on the SV  Football Team, winning the Offensive Lineman of the year. Rob attended Delaware County Technical H.S. In 2021 he took a chance with a friend and started a Christmas Tree stand, maintaining a reasonable cost for trees and donating a few to needy families in the community. He was awarded the Alumni Scholarship to attend Northwest Lineman College with anticipation of becoming a lineman for Peco or Delmarva Power bringing his talents back home.

 

2022- Erin Egan

Erin was part of the EMT program while a Sr at Sun Valley, she also attended EMT classes at DCCC during her Senior Year at SV. Erin is a member of Nemours Hospital Young Heros Committee to raise money for Cancer & Blood donors. She is attending Duquesne University in the Physician's Assistant Program.

 

2023- Travis Powell

Travis was on the Sun Valley football team and served as captain in both his junior and senior years and was named to the All-Delco Team. He comes from a family interested in the trades with his brother having received the 2021 scholarship and currently works as a lineman. Travis will be attending the Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology where he plans to major in welding.
